Welcome to Raising A Family: At Home In the Adirondacks ! Years ago, I began writing a column titled Raising A Family: At Home In the Valley , centered on the wonders of growing a family in the Sacandaga Valley in the Adirondack mountains of New York State.  The focus was on the beauty of the Valley and the humor and chaos of raising children in such an amazing environment.  Slowly, from that series of columns, At Home In the Adirondacks was born.  Here, we will discuss living in the Adirondacks and the surrounding regions with dedication and a pinch of humor.  We will feature posts about discovering the Adirondacks with both a family-friendly and budget-friendly focus.  Come join us on our journey as we navigate this landscape.
